NM/WFM Louise Head Gives Lecture, Wins Blitz Event

OMCC hosted a lecture by NM/WFM Louise Head, where she covered two separate games involving opposite-colored bishop middlegames, effectively illustrating that with the heavy pieces on the board, fireworks can ensue.

After the lecture, 16 players participated in a 5-rd G/3+2 US-Chess rated blitz event.

Dr, Head proceeded to provide another lesson, taking first place with a perfect 5-0 score.

Franco Alejandrino and Vishnu Sharma tied for 2nd/3rd place with scores of 4-1.
